Making that Warm Glow for the Holidays
My wife and I went to a class generously put on by local robot maker Dan Royer of Marginally Clever where we built and programmed 8x8 colour LED matrixes. The class was completely introductory but open ended, we kind of just showed up and built and away we went!
Well my wife had all kinds of ambitions for me to make something rainbow and pretty, and I wanted to make something procedural and kind of... festive?
I spent a bunch of time hacking in the class, and a bit more at home the next day, and we both got what we wanted!
Pictures and code for both these projects (Rainbow Trio and Pixel Fireplace) is listed below. (Weebly, my blogging host, doesn't seem to have a method for posting code right on the webpage, but you can download the Arduino sketches as .ino files and load them right up!)
